If you can order parts from Amazon in Canada, you can get the oxy. sensor a lot cheaper than from a Toyota or Lexus dealer. Don't know if that's the Oxy. sensor that you're referencing or the A/F ratio sensor, since the # isn't familiar. The A/F ratio sensor is less than $100. at Amazon. I'm sure they sell the Oxy. sensor also (the one BEHIND the Cat. Conv., under the drivers seat), but since you're in Canada, all bets are off on you using the same sensors as we do here. The A/F ratio sensor in an OEM Denso on Amazon is part # 234-9009. You might do well to try and read they part # from the sensor. It is laser etched into the barrel of the sensors.

No, not even close. The codes on the A/F ratio sensors (in the front, on the exhaust where it comes out of the manifold, one on Bank 1 and one on Bank 2) The codes that are possible on those sensors are P1130, P1133 & P1135. On bank 2 the possible codes are P1150, P1153 & P1155. I don't think he's right about that P0172 because that's for Bank 1 and the Oxygen sensor would only tell whether the Cat. is working properly, I don't see how it could determine bank.

going back and reading what you said... when i scan p0172 is just says system rich.. it doesnt say a bank... im surprised that when i search this site for p0172 it doesnt come back with nearly the amount of threads as some other codes...

http://www.obd-codes.com/p0172 As you can see from this OBD codes site (one I use frequently and feel is a very helpful site) it refers to P0172 as system rich, Bank 1. An A/F ratio sensor can detect banks because it has one on each bank, but an Ozy. sensor can't because there is only one and it's behind the Cat. Conv. to determine if the Cat. is doing it's job properly.

If you're talking about the OXYGEN sensor, you would have to have dual exhaust to have a "drivers side" and "passengers side". I believe most RX 300's only have a single exhaust.
