Price for Rebuilt Transmission
How much is a reasonable price for a rebuilt transmission, including labor?
One shop quoted me $2500 and another shop quoted me $3800. I'm still waiting for a quote from Lexus.

$3000 here in SW Mich. upgraded Plany Gear + a lil clutch work.
Parts list:
Master Overhaul kit = $260
Updated Planetary gears, Sun Gears & Rings Gears = $893
Direct drum = $88
Remand T/C = $157
Times (x2) for Labor (21 hours) = $3000

Lexus Test Driver
My dealer quoted me $5200-5400 about a year ago, using a Lexus-rebuilt tranny. I know they would be higher than independents; I don't know how much better this transmission would be, if at all....
