Default selling the rx...but for how much??

So i think i have made up my mind and am going to part with my lexus. it has 196k and that scares me. my choices are to spend 2k fixing things and replacing what i feel will need to be soon or sell it and buy something else.

So having an exhaust leak, broken key,and what i think is a bad wheel bearing or hub or something causing rear end to make a loud pulsating noise.

I have listed it at 5900 obo do you all think thats a fair price or should i take a hit and go lower to get rid of it.

On a side note anyone have any suggestions of what replacement suv non lexus i could purchase that isnt too much of a downgrade from the fancy lexus. thanks guys

Your price appears normal, Two ways at looking at it, fix it and have no car payments, or sell it and get something with unknown problems. Exhaust leak probably $100, Key less than $100, and rear hub part around $167 plus labor.
Timing belt probably coming up, cost around $600 at Toyota dealerships or less....

196,000 miles is nothing to be afraid of. That's nothing for an RX. These will run forever, as long as you maintain them.

The RX, will be cheaper to maintain than a mountaineer. Remember it's a mercury=ford. LOL Fix or Repair Daily my friend.

Doesn't 5900 seem kind of high if it already has 196k and might need work in the near future? Not many prospective buyers really want to buy something that already is that up in the mileage.

Buick rainier? A GLORIFIED Chevy trailblazer.

Stick to the RX and do the repairs.

dude, drive it into the ground. In case you haven't done so already, find parts at; www.rockauto.com for dirt cheap.

There comes a time where its not worth it, which is why i would never consider selling my [now] 11yo. ES300.

One option is to incrementally fix your RX.
