Hi folks.

I'm going to upgrade my 2000 rx taillights to the 2001-2003 oem style. I know they are interchangeable.but am not sure if the bulb sockets and wiring harness is the same. Has anyone done this and have any info?

I'm going to watch this as well, because I am in the process of looking for some as well. I have the 01-03 headlights now I need the tails to match and I wasn't sure if they matched right up or not either...

I believe that it requires replacing the harness that goes into the hatch. Shouldn't be terribly difficult, just time consuming.

As anyone tried this yet? I have a 2000 RX and would like to know. It seems as though there's like a $100 difference between aftermarket tail lights the 99-00 and the 01-03.

if you do change the tail lights call a company DDM tuning in Huntington Beach CA and ask for the Cree red tail light that fit the 2001 RX300.
I put those on my 2001 RX and they look like the 2018 cars tail lights it lets people know you are braking and the running lights are also bright. these tail light bulbs really get peoples attention wen you stop
I was told not to stand to long behind my RX300 with the braking LED tail lights or you will get a sunburn lol.
you can also get the Cree clear back up lights they are almost as bright as head lights and I do mean bright.
You can also find them at www.ddmtuning.com I also went with the HID head lights 5k and yellow 3k HID fog lights and do they light up the road ahead.
They also have LED head lights if you want them they have a great warranty on their products.
