This is a really stupid question.I bought a 99 rx 300 and the drivers side rear side marker light was gone so i ordered one and it is red the front driver side marker light is orange.My question is the back one spose to be red or orange?I cant tell from the passenger rear light because it is faded out The front side marker lights also dont light up just the back side ones.Thanks for any replys.

The OEM fronts are orange and the rears are red.

This hasn't been discussed here in a while. Sometimes the marker housings leak and fill up with water. I had this happen to one of mine years ago.

The bulb socket corroded, but fortunately there is a short replacment cable with bulb socket on one end and connector on the other that attaches to the wiring harness. I replaced the bulb, short cable, and drilled a small drain hole in the bottom of the plastic housing (as somebody suggested here). It has been trouble-free for years.

That must be some heavy oxidation under the sun... my 99 RX you can still tell yellow from red. sure the previous owner did not switch to clear markers? unless you're only owner.

the socket bob mentioned is like 8 dollars at dealer. I've changed out two already.

I believe it just faded because its red around the edge.I ordered two socket from irontoad 7 dollars a piece.I just hope i dont have to change the end connected to the wire.
