Follow the steps in the manual. Trust me the instructions are complete and precise.

The information below can help.

Delete old/previous programed codes on RX before you start.

If your garage door opener has rolling code, you have to program the garage door opener too. Look in the garage door opener's manual. There is a button/switch you have press and hold.

I programmed mine for my rolling code garage door opener, no problem. But, the other day a friend and I decided to try to program the remote for his apartment complex gate into it, since I have 2 extra buttons... but no luck, it didn't pick up the signal. They must use a different signal type or something, too bad. I'm sure they did it that way by design so that they wouldn't have a lot of nonresidents getting their entry code.

It would be interesting to know if anyone sold receivers that worked with the Homelink buttons, that you could use to say, turn on a lamp when you get home or something. I couldn't find anything like that on the internet.

I've been trying to program mine forever now, NO LUCK!

I followed the instructions in the book to a T, still no dice.

did the rolling program code thing off the garage door opener itself, where u hold down the button, and at the same time press and hold the button off the car's opener...nothing.

Anyone got any ideas???

Try clearing out the old code before you attempt to program it.

Get the make, model number of the garage door opener and check with Lexus dealer for compatibility issues. If you dont mind post it here and maybe some one can shed light.

Other options:

See if your RX can learn some one elses signal (family/friend)
Change your garage door opener:eek:
