Default Lexus RX models - Best All-season tire choices

I receive a number of phone calls per day regarding the best all-season tire for the Lexus RX model, so I thought a post may help some find their answers through the forum. Most of the Lexus RX owners I speak with want a tire that is smooth, quiet, hydroplaning resistant and has good snow and ice grip. I have compiled a list of the top 3 performers from my personal customers experiences as well as overall great customer survey results to back up these recommendations.

Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring

Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza

Michelin Latitude Tour

Thanks, I started with Bridgestone Dueler and then to Kumho Solus KH16. Both have served me well in the ride and smoothness, except Kumho's were reasonable price.

Honestly, for a good rain/snow/ice tire, they might not look "right", but the BFG All-Terrain is what you need.

These are likely the next tires on my wife's car. The Kumhos on there, I'm not at all happy with...noise/wear/traction. Was happy with them, before they were 'made in China'.

The BFG's are good tires. I actually think they give the RX a good look, the tires have aggressive thread which gives the RX a more masculine look.

Put Goodyear Assurance ComforTreds on about a year ago. Very smooth riding, grip well on dry, wet or snowy roads. Have about 30K on them now, with very little wear showing. So far, they've been a great decision.

I am using Bridgestone Dueler Alenza for last 3 years and am quite happy with them. I have put about 24K miles on them.

Anything but the OE fitment is an upgrade. Those Integrity tires are down right terrible. I know tirerack certainly indicated such as well.

The LTX are great tires. My father was able to get 70k out of them, with some thread left but enough for another winter.

OEM tires invariably rank poorly in TireRack's customer surveys. I sometimes wonder if the OEM tires are really that bad or if the customers are rating them on a relative scale (ie rating their old, worn-out, OEM tires against their brand new tires). I suspect most brand new tires feel a lot better than the old ones they replaced. For what its worth, I've had Integrities on my RX since new (150,000 miles) and they are a nice riding, quiet tire.

My wife had her RX prior to us getting married, she still had the OE integrities until later one of them was damaged (nail or something, idk) so she got two new ones, I swear they wore so incredibly fast, and she continued to complain about the grip, especially during rain.

Eventually we had them replaced w/ a different set of tires.

LTX M/S no question, lasted almost 90k, best tires for my first gen RX when I had it.
Too bad, they didnt make the size for the 2nd gen RX.
