My wife's RX300 is due for 20,000 mile service. Other than the dealer where can I go for an oil change? The dealer is asking for $130 for the service, kind of rediculous. I am in the Richardson/Dallas area. Thanks!

Call a Toyota dealer and ask about Toyota Highlander service
prices. My local Toyota dealer also offers "Express Lube" service.
They'll take the RX, no problem, and save you $$$.

JB - check out Davenport Motors on Plano Parkway in Plano - they've got 5-6 mechanics who worked for Sewell, left, and started this Lexus specialized operation. They specialize in Lexus only and are a great bunch of guys. The two Davenport brothers who own the place are a couple who worked for Sewell as well as the Managing Partner, Jimy Wright. They've done a number of things for me on my old SC400 and my GS400, always satisfied and much cheaper than either of the dealers. Call them at 972-612-3377 - you can tell Jimy or Ken that Garnet92 (Emile) sent you. Guarantee that you'll be pleased (and no, I don't get any kickback for the referral!).

BTW, they've hosted a couple of ClubLexus meets there and are very supportive of CL members.

It's Park place's 20,000 mile service which includes oil change, tire rotation, brake check, and other misc checks. Also they test drive it. I have just had the $$$ 15,000 miles service in April. I called Davenport and they say oil change is only $29. I'll take it to them next week.
