Lightbulb Transfer case drain plug

Really a basic dumb question, but looking to get help from the people on this forum.
I took up the DIY task to change my transmission filter and oil and the transfer case drain plug is too tight and with the limited vertical space even the 1/2" breaker bar is not able to open it.
I had tough time moving the transmission pan drain plug and found that it opens clockwise. I only loosened it but have not opened it completely so as to make sure i don't need to make a visit to mechanic shop for the the transfer case drain plug.

Now i am a little confused if the drain plugs in general open clockwise or counter clockwise.
Please can someone comment if the transfer case drain plug opens clockwise or counter clockwise??

All along i was first trying to open the transmission drain plug counter clockwise.
When the 3/8" driver small breaker bar did not work i bought the 1/2" drive longer breaker bar and also the adapter.
With the 1/2" breaker bar the transmission drain plug moved a little bit counter clockwise and then when i applied clockwise force i found it to be moving more freely and showing drops of transmission fluid, giving me an impression that it opens clockwise.
I hope i did not mess up with the threads since it seems to be opening clockwise now. And so i posted the question to check about the transfer case drain plug before i proceed.

OK.....if you are facing the plug from the front.....you need to turn it counterclockwise (right hand thread) to loosen. I'm pretty sure all nuts, plugs on a Lexus is the same. Left handed thread apps are pretty rare (there are some).
