Is RX300 being recalled too?
Since Toyota is recalling like 160,000 2001 and 2002 Highlanders, is RX300 which is essentially the same as the RX300 being recalled too?

Don't Worry about the RX330 being built in Canada
Hey, don't worry about the Lexus RX330 being built in Ontario since the workers there are suburb!! They have the skills and craftness near to the Japs. Look at the Acura MDX being built in Ontario, and it is doing well with very good reliability and satisfaction. Japanese knows how to produce good quality parts and wires and mechanism to be assembled in the US or Canada more than the Germans.

Here's the announcement of the recall:
Toyota Recalls Highlanders
August 7, 2002

Toyota is recalling 154,593 2001 and 2002 Highlanders for a fuel-vapor nozzle that could leak during a front-end collision, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
NHTSA said that in the event of a roll over after a high-speed, front-end collision, the Highlander's fuel tank could move and a nozzle could break and leak fuel, posing a fire hazard.

Oh yeah "In the event of a 56.55mph front, driver side accident with a 1997-8 Honda accord 4-cylinder (manual) the Highlander MAY leak fuel and possibly pose a fire hazzard if regular Conoco gasoline was used."
I'm not trying to down play this that much, but bad accidents happen. You can't be prepared for everything. It just strikes me how things could POSSIBLY happen.

I read that Toyota is just going to rotate the clamp on the nozzle.
