Question Brake light indicator on instrument panel?

Hey, I recently just started getting a light indicator on my instrument panel. I checked the back lights and the passenger lower brake light is out. Weird, but the tail light works. Aren't they the same bulb? If the brake light is out wouldn't the tail light be out as well? What would be causing this? Hopefully, not an electrical problem.
Thanks

They are different filaments (the encapsulation/bulb is the same .. if I am right). The brake light draws more current and is brighter than the tail light. When you install the new one, make sure the folded wires are straight. If you have, add the electrical grease to prevent oxidation down the road.

Since there are only two bolts and the assemblies comes out easily, I swapped the right and left bulbs first, to confirm if I did in fact have a bulb problem.

The fault was a seating issue and no new bulb necessary.
This was a turn signal bulb rather than brake bulb.
