Brakes-Gimme a Break !
Had some severe pulsating of the brakes on my RX300. Took it in for a repair, it needed new rotors and front pads. After it was repaired, same problem existed. Took it back, they said the new rotors needed to be turned. After that was done, same problem. So, this shop could not figure it out, and did not charge me for new rotors and pads.
Then took it to local Toyota dealer. He diagnosed calipers were sticking and not fully releasing. New Calipers were installed. It worked.......... for 5 days.
Now I hear a "clunk/rattle" in right front when I hit any bumps, problem does not exist when I apply the brakes over bumps.
I'm taking it back for them to remedy. Any ideas what happened ? Did not tighten all the bolts on the calipers properly ? Seems strange that it is only on the right front. You can kick the tire and here it rattle, a swift boot to all other wheels and they are solid with no rattles.
Any thoughts ?

If a caliper bolt were left loose I guess it wouldn't be the 1st time. Obviously it shouldn't be. Only way to find out is to pull the wheel and have a look. I wouldn't accept any cockamayme made up story though. I'd ask if I could watch when they pulled the wheel. Good Luck!

It turned out to be a loose bolt. The tech re-tightened all bolts and added some loctite (which should hsve been done in the first place) and all seems to be fine.
Got some new tires on the RX too. They are awesome so far. Too early to tell how they will do in snow and rain, but they are sooooo smooth and quiet, and handle great.
I got Kuhmo Solus KR21's for $90 each.

I would say the mechanic left the bolt loose. You shouldn't have to lock-tite any of those bolts. I don't think they are from the factory. Definitely wouldn't have loosened after 5 days if it had been tightened properly. I have never in 50 years of working on cars ever lock-tited brake caliper bolts, nor have I ever had any come loose. However I do tighten them.
