I have the same issue with a 2003 rx. Can't find the DLC1 and the documentation says to jump Tc and A/b in the DLC2 to ground in sequence to clear SRS lights. The pins showing in the pic point to an empty slot in the DLC2 for AB. Was there any rewsolution to this?

Hi,
the picture shown in this thread is showing TC pin # 13 and CG (Constant Ground) on pin # 4. What is shown in the picture is to obtain the fault code not reset the SRS. AB is supposed to be in pin # 6. I have a 2003 RX300 and pin # 6 is empty as well. I did some research and found that you can access this by the another DLC which is round in shape. I am trying to find out where it is located. Apparently you can see a diagram of the pinouts on the connector and the AB pin is available there. If someone has new information that would be great.

I have a 2001 RX and do NOT have a DCL1 connection either. What I do have is a Diagnostics manual in pdf that points to the Skid Control ECU (picture attached) of the ABS VCS & TRAC systems...

The Diagnostic pdf is many pages but it has alot of info on diagnosis through the Skid Control ECU.

IF you want me to post more pages just reply.

My issue is the low speed actuation of ABD VSC due to either a faulty speed sensor or tone ring. Although I inspected the tone ring and cleaned it and it appears normal.

Hope this is helpful.

Darren

Darren, anything you could post on how to diagnose which axle is at fault on a 2001 RX300 (no DCL1) would be very helpful. I have the low speed ABS/VSC actuation symptom and assume there's a broken tone ring somewhere. Would love to know which corner before I take anything apart.

Thanks for the image. This is my case also. Almost all blogs ask you to install a jumper and remove fuses on the DTC1 box, but in my case also the 2001 RX300 does not have that box.

It is not a box. It is a connector [roughly 2" in diameter near the OBDII connector]. This has been Toyota/Lexus diagnosis port before '95 requirement of a standardized OBDii port.

options:
See if an advanced obdII reader can show live data for each sensor.
Disconnect each sensor and do an ohms check while spinning each wheel. See open and closed ohm reading
Invest/borrow scope [as low as $70].
swapping sensors [I think you trying to avoid this]
