Tornado and others (not a rehash)
Hi,
I was reading through some other threads regarding Tornado Fuel Saver (www.tornadofuelsaver.com) and some magnet you strap on to your fuel line.
I'm specifically interested in learning more about the Tornado. Yah yah, I know. If it works so well, why didn't the car come with it?? So here's my question;
Has anyone tried this product specifically on an RX300? From all my research, I've concluded that it works on some vehicles, but doesn't work on others.
After reading all the negative posts regarding the Tornado, I'm too skeptical to drop $70 on it. I'm probably just going to get the K&N #33-2052 high flow air filter.
Thanks!
Hando

Better to get the K&N.
I have a friend who bought one of these Tornados for his RX. He finally gave up on the thing, even after sending it back to get the right size. Just did not do anything! It goes in just in the tube area outside the air filter. Personally, I would not trust sticking it in there. If it gets loose, you are screwed.
Anyway, I noticed something interesting when I installed my K&N filter. Has anybody notice that just outside the air filter compartment, just before the hoses separate, there is a small t-shaped piece of hard plastic sticking up. I am wondering if this is designed to streamline airflow (kind of like the Tornado).
