Default help me narrowing down the brake light problem

my brake warning light has been on and off or sometimes constantly on for a while past couple of month. Manual says to check either brake fluid level or the parking brake if it s not fully released. The fluid is full and light goes off if I disconnect the level sensor. Does that mean the problem is from the sensor (shot possibly) ? Will disconnecting the sensor bother computer to read the parking brake failure and illuminate the warning light? If the sensor seems to be the problem, is there a way to check the sensor to make sure it is the problem?? thanks

I think you dont need any help. You have already figured it out. If you have a vom you can check it further by moving the float up and down. I am bit **** in keeping things right, so I would replace the sensor/cap.

Your brake pads are low.

If pads are OK, try a new fluid reservoir cap. It's about $100, but it solved my problem with the chime and light always blinking. There's some kind of chip in it; more than just the fluid level switch, and that's what caused the problem.
