Default New tires now a wobble gripping feel.

Purchase 4 new Michelin P225/70R16LTX M/S2, replacing Uniroyal of same tire size. Now got a wobble/gripping feel when turning as descending from a overpass. Took it back to tire store thinking maybe they didn't balance tire correctly? Answer was tire inflation was high 42psiall four, reduced to 36psi.......salesperson took it for a ride test and could not find anything wrong. He also mentioned that they checked the front end and everything's tight with no play. Still having that wobble/gripping feel only while coming down from the overpass-tried another overpass same thing. Anyone have this type of problem? Thanks in advance 2003 RX300.

Welcome to the Club.

How high are these overpasses.

Reason I ask this is that although I have some pretty high overpasses in Florida, I had higher ones (and hills/mountains) in Mexico and often times coming down I would get some wobble. When they were steep enough, I knew it could be issues with transmission fluid level/oil level at that angle.

In addition, at a high enough elevation you have a lot more force coming down on the front of the vehicle and it can exacerbate even the minutest issue/stresses with the suspension. It's also one thing to go down say a 50 foot overpass at 50 mph and a far different thing to do it at 70 mph plus. There's some videos over on youtube where I go well up to 100 mph in Mexico, and I felt wobble there when I'd hit the descent.

One thought: Don't know how new the tires, but this is often a characteristic of new tires in my experience, which goes over the last 60 years. Michelins especially seem to be "squishy" for 500 miles or so. Just a thought.

Brand new tires since Feb.........never had this problem with the old replaced ones. Your theory may B correct Ramblemutt. Have Michelins on all 4 of our vehicles only the RX300 started the wobble since replacing the tires. Straight driving on freeway at freeway speed ok.

Just to add, since about mid-2002, I have been running purely Michelin CrossTerrains 235-70-16.
