Before you even contemplate getting a BMW X5, suggest you read the numerous comments in http://groups.google.com/ (just type in "BMW X5"). There are all kinds of negative messages on that. Some dealers are secretly throwing in free fire extinguishers just in case the 2002 X5 engulfs in flame like the 2001. The owners are also telling people to buy extended warranty due to numerous problems and Consumer Report just rated that as the second worst mid size SUV on the market. It is however one hell of a safe and performance oriented SUV but a great sacrifice to durability and reliability.

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW, I RECEIVED WORD FROM MY DEALER AND THEY GOT A BLACK ON BLACK 2002 RX WITH NAVIGATIONS FULLY LOADED AND CHROME RIMS COMMING OVER FROM JAPAN, DELIVERY SHOULD BE SOMETIME AROUND THE 26TH OR 27TH OF THIS MONTH, YAY TWO MORE WEEKS. I CANT WAIT. NOW ALL I NEED IS SOME MORE AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS. WIND VISORS, BRUSH GUARDS, WOOD DASH KITS ETC. ANYTHING. HELP ME OUT.
