there are many LED tail light assemblies for the RX300,
but I prefer the original Lexus design.....

On Vleds.com, they have a red 7443 LED bulb that's rated
at 7-watts..... they claim it's their brightest LED bulb....
but doesn't say how bright it is next to a regular filament
7443 light bulb....

Sarah- if you look at one of the original bulbs, I'm almost positive they have the wattage on the information that's on the bulb. I just changed all of them in my DIL's a week ago, but the old ones are already gone, or I would check for you. either look at a package of bulbs in Wal-Mart or take one of yours out. It's easy, 2 plugs and 2 screws and a good tug straight back, or pop the lower panel off the rear lid and look at one of those. Sorry, I don't think I have a reference chart handy.

As a standalone replacement bulb for say a 7443 (brake light), probably not. LED just are not as bright in daylight as their incand. counterparts. I have 15 LED high mount stop light and at night it looks okay. During the daylight, it looks very dim as compared to the OEM LED taillights. I have aftermarket taillights for my RX and they are pretty bright, but the LED turn signals 7440 are junk.

The problem AA is that there are several different generations of LED bulbs. When I was doing Code 3 work and we were considering all LED light bars, the ones we were considering were 3rd generation LED. They were literally so bright even in broad daylight that straight on, at about 30 ft., they blinded you. We have police depts. around here that use them and they are so bright that I feel they are dangerous. The difference, I'm betting the bulbs (LED's) she is asking about aren't those bulbs. The rep from the Co. told us whereas the 1st generation bulbs (standard LED) cost them 15 or 20 cents a bulb, the 3rd generation (bright) bulbs cost them $8. a bulb. That's each individual LED. The light bar was about $400. more, just because of the bulbs.
