Dual exhaust installed today
Finaly we installed the dual exhaust for my 2000 RX 300 AWD today with help of my friends Israel & Oli. I have to replace the canister according to Ron's (Lexmex) suggestions. Thanks Tom of Austria for better ideas. I will add more pics tomorrow. I will replace the middle exhaust resonator with the smaller pipe. I bought the pulstar pulse plug (be1) for my RX. I will let you know the performance later. here some pics:

Just remember, the modern day engine is very finicky. You may loose some bottom end (off the line performance) and gain top end performance. Its a very give/take situation. But I must say it looks real good!!

The OEM resonator is straight thru, so the new piping shouldn't change much except perhaps some tone (might be bit higher pitched, than a deep growl), but since I don't have precats on mine and you do, this might make a difference with your setup. With the precats, there still should be sufficient power to keep the rpms up.
I do however have some issues that lexus114 mentioned and I notice them especially after cleaning my IACV valve as I did last Saturday with low RPMs at a stop, around 500, but never shutting off.

Thanks everyone for your good remarks.. I bought the dual exhaust from E-bay Germany for total $458.00 (including shiping & handling). So what i should do for the OEM resonator Ron? Leave like this. More Pics

You might want to make an exhaust video or an audio file so that we can see how it sounds (even at idle and in park) with the OEM resonator still in place.
I think have the precats still in place and even going to say a straight pipe for the resonator might not give rise to a higher pitch or shrill (sometimes sounds like a whistle sound). However, sometimes, one can get an awful fart-like sound.
You might want to evaluate your setup for a bit and see how it feels.

Take a look at posts 67, 68 and 69 here, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ood-one-5.html and you can see what the stock resonator looks like on the inside.

I will do this project later. I will let you know the output. Thanks again.

Looks like a very nice setup, I have always thought Lex missed a trick with one puny tip......one thing you might want to consider, or at least I urge you to consider, how about a bit of heat shielding between the exhaust pipe and the cannister/pipework, the temperatures could get rather warm there and better safe than sorry. Go down the local scrappy and pick up a piece of underbody heat shielding for a few bob, easy to form to the correct shape and will give you peace of mind.
