Default A/C refill and service

Just had the AC serviced and would like to know what the refill amount is for the gas? The AC specialist refilled with 650ml of gas.....but my AC seems not as cold as before, I have searched everywhere for the correct specified amount to no avail, anyone have the spec please?

Best regards David

from page AC-22 of repair manual:

refrigerant specified amount: 650 +/- 50 g (22.92 +/- 1.76 oz).

Page AC-32, if evaporator is replaced, 40cc (1.4 oz) compressor oil, NDOIL8 or equivalent. (page AC-54, same for if condenser is replaced).

It just occured to me that 650 ml of refrigerant is very different than 650g of refrigerant. They're only the same for liquid water! Hopefully they meant to say grams and not mililiters.

Yes....my mistake, I am in the habit of using ml for grams as most of my calcs are with water....they specify 0.65kgs of 134 and 24ml of lube..........

So, dumb question. What is the recommended service interval for these vehicles? I was under the impression that they do not need refrigerant service. Mine is a 2001.

No such thing as dumb questions....just dumb answers, the recomended interval on the UK schedule according to my main stealer is 2-3 years, thats about a general rule for A/C check and recharge.
There is absolutely nothing special about the Lexus system so normal A/C services required.

Best regards David

Cars I've owned for the last 15-20 years (BMW, Toyota, Mitsubishi) have never leaked any refrigerant - the A/C has worked fine up to the point I got rid of them (usually around 10 years).
