On my 2002 RX300 with 300k miles I was getting three check engine codes and was experiencing the OD lockout after driving for a few miles. I found that it would only kick in the OD lockout after driving for a few miles and only after coming to a complete stop. If the code tripped while driving I could still use the OD gear as normal. Initially the codes I was getting were P0325, P1135, and P1155. After replacing the knock sensors and the AF sensors I was still getting P0325. Deciding that there may be something wrong with the wiring from the bank 1 knock sensor I performed the bypass to the ECU. To my surprise, after reconnecting the battery and driving the car, I am still getting the P0325 error code as well as the OD lockout. I tried switching the connections around, and found that no matter what I did I would always get the P0325 code, and the P0330 code if I did not connect that sensor. Could there be something wrong with the connector into the ECU or perhaps with the ECU itself? Additionally, I am also able to clear the code while driving and it will instantly re-engage the OD gear. I feel it important to also mention that as far as I can tell, there is no knocking from the engine. I am running 93 octane, and I don't hear or feel anything that would indicate knocking. Did you use OEM knock sensors from the Lexus dealer or "reputable" online source? You need to use OEM knock sensors.
Also, even if you do, you may get a bad one.

My shop thought the same thing. They spent a lot of time on my car until they decided to redo it again with new sensors and that fixed it. The sensors are apparently really sensitive and if you drop them, bang them, etc. they can be damaged easily.

Sensor is Piezo microphone tuned to specific frequency. Mishandling, over torquing, etc. can render it useless.
