You got to trace the wires the down. Right behind the socket, there should be a connector. You may have to get your hands on the circuit diagram to help trace on paper.

Voltmeter can be handy to trace a break, but for corroded joints, having a bulb which draws current is better. Corroded joint in Lexus is very unlikely.

Dumb question, but did you put the right bulb for replacement? The RX300 center bulb is a small 921 bulb. There are plenty of bulbs that "look" the same, but they are different numbered because of electrical draw, base fitment, etc. Maybe you have the wrong bulb and it's just not coming on?

If it was working before, and you're replacing because the blown light indicator came on, then doubt a bad line "all of the sudden" came out. Unless of course your line went bad instead of the bulb.

Anyone know where we can get our hands on the wire diagram of this vechicle. This problem is bugging us out. The mechanic used a test light and still no juice. If anyone has a link to a wire diagram with color code it will be greatly appreciated.

There are some in Haynes manuals. The third brake light goes to the ligt failure sensor (where that is i dont know) it is a green/yellow wire. there should be a green/red wire also which is the rear brake lights wire. From the light failure sensor the green/white wire goes tothe stop light switch.
