Navigation "Program Disk is Inserted" message
2003 RX300 with Nav. and my map information disappeared the other day. Other functions (Screen settings, Radio, Trip Info, etc) showed on the screen, even the blinking vehicle icon, but no map data.
Figured I was getting a read error from the DVD player, so I ejected the disk, wiped it off and re-inserted it into the player in the back of the vehicle. I am now getting a message on the screen "Program Disk is Inserted" and I can't figure out how to get it to go away.
Map functions still do not work while this is displayed. I just a get a "beep" sound and no response when I press any of the navigation keys. Possibly a bad DVD drive or Navigation unit?? Anybody else having this problem or heard of it?
Thank you in advance for any help out there. Greatly appreciated.

I just experienced the exact same problem in the exact same order as you described with my 2002 RX300.
Did you ever find a fix?

Please Help!
I see people joining CL and make their first posts, asking for help and get no answers.
Who is our resident expert in Nav.
Some of the nav stuff should not be unique to RX.
Any pointer to other forums would be appreciated.
