rx-300 2001 Water in cabin
Hi Everyone-
I have a water leak inside my cabin that I have not been able to find. I am getting water in both sides of the car inside the front area. I have checked the air conditioning drain and it is working OK. I have also poured a lot of water with the water house in the fron widshield area to make sure I have no leaks there. I took the entire car apart and it took days to dry out. I also checked underneath the wiper arm assembly to make sure no drains were clogged with leaves. I am desperate now, I dont know what else to check for. Someone mentioned that I should check the slide roof drain. If someone can provide some input on this I would greatly appreciate that.
Thank You
Andres

the sunroof drains are clogged. there is a tsb, look it up on internet, go to dealer get fixed for free. they get clogged and get brittle and break, or they leak all the way down a-piller to the floor.

I ran into this once in another vehicle,my problem was the cowl (by the windshield wiper motor) was leaking.Re-sealed it up,and that was it,Maybe your drains their are clogged up from dirt/debri.Could also be a windshield leak,(where you may not see it.)

Thank You everyone for the tips. I found it was a combination of things. The drain from the sunroof was one issue. I also found that there are moldings in the roof that are actually screwed inside the car. These moldings were loose on both sides and water was coming in. I hope this helps other people because I spend some time trying to see where the water was coming from. It looks good now, I will have to wait for testing before assembling the car again.
Thank You

2001 RX300. Leaking on drivers floor carpet. Extensive research revealed water was coming in via the sunroof. The drain hose was partially squashed about 8" from the drain entry at the sunroof. Headliner disassembly revealed the congestion which was clogged from 14 years of debris. Blowing through a straw via the sunroof drain hole cleared the clog. Pliers on the squash helped reduce the problem. Run water through the sunroof trough to flush out the stuff. Fixed!

Can anyone provide pictures of these drain lines and where they go? I found a clear drain line near the antenna motor when I had to disconnect the motor to the antenna, it looked clogged, but I can't find any info or pictures on where this is coming from to be able to clear it.
