I bought them at Lexus dealer... cost around $100 (slightlye more or less) for each book. There are total of 2 books, volume 1 and 2.
I actually bought the manual for 2000 RX300, 'cause that's what my dealer has in stock. I don't think there's any difference yet (I could be wrong)...
I don't think you need to get the volume 1, since most of it is for diagnostic... the 2nd volume has everything else....
Here's the "Content page" from the Volume 2. The "BOLD" lines are all volume 2. The "faded" ones are volume 1....

Spinteews,
K40 is a radar/laser detector... similar to Escort, Valentine, BEL, etc... except this particular model is installed so that it's completely hidden...
Here's their website for more info in case you're curious...

well, it can be expensive... that's the problem...
I checked around local shops, for example:
I think the retail price of the unit itself (UN3000SW) is about $599-$699....
Car Toys sell them for about $1100 installed
Innovative Audio sells them for $2000 installed...
Or, you can buy the unit off ebay (there's one right now asking for $449)
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...tem=1332913017
or internet shops, then install afterwards. Car Toys or any other regular shops may charge around $300 for install
WOW! So call around and compare prices...
Or, another good alternative that I like is the Valentine One...
