Question Rear side windows

Does anyone know why the left rear side window has a defroster in it and the right one doesn’t? Is it just mine?

The radio uses the power antenna and the wire antenna
in the rear quarter window. Below is a picture of their
locations.(from '01 Lexus RX300 service /repair manual,
should be the same for '99-'00 & '02 models as well)

DJ SprinklesNJO,

The antenna connectors are behind the radio.
Carefully pry off the wood panel and remove the 4 bolts
holding the radio. Disconnect the antenna and plug
it into your FM modulator. Take the antenna plug from the FM
modulator and plug it into the radio.

The FM modulator probably needs a power source.
I would suggest using the cigarette lighter. Tap into
the 12V cables behine the lighter.

Hope this help.

sleepybobcat, thanks alot, that does help. and i know exactly what your talking about. i had all those panels removed to see if i could reach the antenna from the back of the radio. but then just eventualy found a tv that has a wireless fm modulator built into it. unfortunitly im getting a humming noise from the speakers everytime i hit the accelerator. (i guess from the alternator) i might try using a wire fm modulatorand see if that helps. thanks again
