Default 99 awd RX300 oil change and tranny change

Can i just go to a Toyota dealership and ask for a highlander oil filter. What year, i don't know? Or should i go in asking for specific part nubmers:
japan -90915-YZZB9
Thailand - 90915-YZZD1
U.S.A. - 90915-YZZG1

5 Quarts of oil

Can i also get a tranny pan gasket and filter from toyota too?

First off, i apprecticate all the posting out there about how different filters preforms but i just want to go into Toyota and ask for a 200X V6 highlander oil filter.
Thanks

Before you go, give them a call and confirm what they will do for you. Some Toyota dealers have turned back Lexus customers, if there is a Lexus dealer nearby.

You can ask them the same questions you posted here. Any answer posted here, would be the best guess.

i think he means DIY. Just give them your year and call it a Highlander although my local Toyota dealer could care less. I doubt you will have any options on the filters. They probably just stock one. Don't forget the oil plug gasket. You can order online for cheap too.

Yea, it's a DIY. I have a 1999 AWD. So i guess i can tell them its a 2001 Highlander V6. I don't think any Highlanders were made in 1999.

How about the tranny pan gasket and filter. There is a how to write-up as a sticky. Can i also say i need those for a 2001 Highlander v6

thanks

ps. i'll get the oil plug gasket too.

Yes, on asking them for the tranny gasket and filter for the 2001 V6 Highlander, same motor and tranny. My father does the same thing for me at a local Toyota dealer when he needed to buy the part and bring it down for me.

I have a '99 RX and same filter as the '04 Highlander V6. I get filters together with a friend for volume discount. US won't stock the Japan filters (discontinued unfortunately) but only the Thailand filters. I've found they're just as good.

Does anybody know if the 2004 Highlander's have the same AIR filters as us too then? I'm about to go back to OEM filter (I have K&N right now and am a bit paranoid even though everything is oil free after a good 25,000-35,000 miles). Would the filters be the exact same? If not, does anybody have a part number for the air filter?

2004 Highlander is different, 2001 is the same though.

Part # for 2001 RX is 17801-03010

Ya know,I just recently replaced my K&N filter with the factory like air filter, and I do miss the little extra umph it had with it.Not much, but still noticable. My concern, was due to the m.a.f sensor.(slight oil coating)I might try what lexmex suggested, and only oil the outer side of the filter.

Confirmed, the 2004 uses different air filter. Kind of cheapy actually, just the element, no plastic housing or anything. FYI, the brake pads front and back are different on 2004 Highlander than '99 RX too.

Out.

Crown Toyota Ontario California refuse to sell any Lexus part. They said they don't stock Lexus part and they don't have Lexus part number in their computers.

Crown Lexus Ontario California don't stock many Lexus part. They always need to order the part for you. Example: sunshade for RX300, O ring for tranny filter.

Do i need to change the filter. It was done i think about 15k ago. Is this a regular interval item? when i brought the car in for the $500 115kmile service at the dealer It was to suppose to change the tranny fluid and other things. To what extent i don't know. When is the interval change for the gasket as well. How about the O-ring?
thanks

Going to the dealer soon. Hopefully someone will respond. They run a 20& wed special on parts
