Default Brake crew, need advice.

Hey guys, I just ordered Rotora slotted rotors for all 4 corners of my RX300, and a new set of Akebono ProACT pads. I'm thinking about going stainless steel lines for better pedal feel as well. What I wanted to ask was besides the obvious BBK (which I do not need nor should I spend the money for at the moment) are there any Lexus/Toyota calipers that will fit the front of our RX's? I really like the LS400 calipers, and they are direct bolt ons for 1st gen IS and SCs out there, I know our RXs are different but can it be done, even with custom bracketing?

Tim,
I belive LS has different sized rotor, so it would not likely a direct fit to RX. You may give an OEM ES330/ES300 after the 2002 year a try. It should have two pistons, you may just need the ES brackets to mount on the RX.
I have researched before I decided to go with Rotora BBK so I am 90% sure ES calipers might fit. check out www.rockauto.com for remanufactured calipers by A1 Cardone. It is $82 with bracket and pads, if you can return the stock caliper to get core deposit back.
BTW, to be safe, you need to shrink wrap the SS brake lines so the plastic tube inside won't be cut by the SS braids, which could happen if tiny stones got caught in between.

Right, I forgot that the LS400 rotors were a different size. I guess I'll just paint my calipers for now. For some reason Lexus gave the RX300 calipers that are a less aesthetically pleasing than those on the 1IS and 2GS.
