Default grille

What are my options for grills with chrome and Lexus logo? I saw the one's on ebay but dont appeal to me. Is there a stock one later than 99 grille that has crhrome on it to upgrade my 99 grille?

The grille on your RX is chrome, just use paint remover to take off the gray paint.

That looks nice...im just concerned that the grille might rust being exposed like that...I'd think the metal was painted and polished then painted?

Did you cleatcoat the grille at all?

Never had a problem with it chipping away or rusting. I've had it like this for about a 4mos now. Its a plastic paint so I don't see how rust can occur. No need for clear coat b/c its a finished chrome paint, so its already cured. When you think of it, there is already some chrome on the frame being exposed from new around the edges.

Another shot of my grille on the side.

I let mine sit with the paint stripper for about 3-4 mins. Don't let it sit for too long or the chemical will eat the plastic, its a very strong liquid. After around 3-4 mins get a brush, something like a rug brush, and brush all in it, then just hose clean. If there is still paint left repeat till happy with results.
You live in NJ, maybe you can check my grille out if you want in person.

Toyota painted a gray paint over the chrome. As I said before, just go to home depot and get a paint remover, will have a chrome grill.

Wait, so this product removes paint, but not chrome paint? I'm attached things to the grille and it feels like it's plastic, not metal. So Lexus painted the grille chrome, then black. So this product removes just the black paint? Sounds weird to me, but I guess it's true with those pictures...
