Rx300 License Plate Installation On Front Bumper
Hi all,
Texas needs license plate on both front and back.
Mine only has in the back, so I got new plates but wondering if I need to go to a dealer for bracket ($55)
or just buy two screws and screw the plate by itself.
Or can I buy a bracket at Autozone and put it?
thank you for advice.

Btw, just wait until a couple of months (September 1, 2007) until this Act Takes Effect:
http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodo...l/HB01666I.htm

A bracket will make it look a bit cleaner but at $55, I would rather not plus it doesn't look much different with or without the bracket IMO. The bumper should have two indentations where the screws should go. I would just use a size smaller drill to make the holes and then just screwed it on with a larger screws.

Thank you for reply Meetya.
I didn't know the law is changing, otherwise I wouldn't get new plates.
I think I'll just replace the rear plate and keep the other one in the car just in case to explain to officers that I'm planning to install it...
Kronx,
Yes, someone from dealer also said when I called to look for small pushed in dabs for installing bracket, but I have hard time finding it, everything looks smooth :-)

Front license plate
Get an oil change at a Lexus dealership and they'll probably put your front license plate on your vehicle for free! They did that for me in Sacramento.
