locking "beep" volume increase
i have a 99 rx300. i know that on later models, maybe just the 330 and up, it's possible to change the volume of the "beep" that you hear when u lock and unlock your car. unfortunately, the 99 does not offer that feature, and I am unsatisfied with the seemingly too quiet beep that i'm hearing. what can i do? is there some kind of speaker somewhere on the outside that's producing this sound? if so, if i replace that speaker with a more powerful one, will the sound be louder? any suggestions?
thanks for all the help

I have an 01 RX300 and when one of the doors are opened and I hit the lock button, you'll hear a long beeeeeep till the doors are closed completely. I don't know on the 99 but I would listen to see where its coming from, if it works on yours. Good Luck

I have a '02 Rx300 and I know that you can change the volume of the keyless entry system thru the c-best settings. I paid the dealership some $$ for them to do this and only they can do this. I will till you that it was somewhat worth the cost.

yes im aware that the 2002 and up have the changeable c-best option, however, the 1999 does not, therefore I must find another option. It sounds like its coming somewhere around the front driver side wheel (listening from the outside, could be somewhere under the hood?). what can i do? where is the speaker? is it replaceable with a louder one? I really would like this because in the morning i remote start my car and instead of being able to just start it up, sometimes I have to side door, open the garage door, and make sure that i have it unlocked, which is more inconvienient than if i could just hear it all the time (most of the time i can hear it, sometimes i cant tho). it's not a big deal, and that's just one instance of why I want this, and I hope theres a way to get around this.
thanks
thanks
