Ours is a 2003 RX300 and we love it. Mileage is 90K and counting. We've had just one major repair and that was just recently -- new suspension system for $1,5K. Other than that, it's running like a dream. We've been considering new leases like BMW X3 and Acura RDX, and yes also RX 350 (but it's too big and it's ugly and the visibility isn't good). None of the new small SUV's is as good or as comfortable as our current RX300. What a great design. Lexus screwed up the interior design on the RX350 / 330. The new center console is a joke, a big hunk of metal that is mostly unusable and that has almost no real storage space. The dash now looks ugly and garish with the stainless steel replacing the graceful wood, etc., etc.

Have been reading that Lexus/Toyota is considering a new sub-compact RX to compete against BMW X3 and Acura RDX. We hope they'll do it -- and do it in the USA!

My wife drives a 2002 RX300 with 20,000 miles. We bought it about 4 or 5 months ago with 15,500 miles. My wife drives about 60 miles a day back and forth from work.

I work at a Lexus Dealership in the Pre-Owned department and have seen a number of RX's over 150,000 miles and running strong! We just got in a 2004 RX330 with 80,000 miles and it runs like it has 30,000 miles. It is all in how you maintain your vehicle. The 3.0L motor in the RX,ES,GS is bullet proof if you keep it maintained. I have seen them come in with problems, but I see more cosmetic problems than enigine and transmission problems.

There will be a new RX sometime next year in the US I believe, but I am not certain. There was a photo I saw of a high performance version of the New RX and I thought it looked great! I guess we will just have to wait and see.

My 2001 AWD Rx 300 has 89,000 miles on it. Just had the timing belt replaced and as a precaution did the other belts and water pump.

Been garage kept since new, replace oil with synthetic blend from the beginning and use K&N air filter. Change oil every 5K and rotate my Michelin Cross Terrains.

Have done the fluid changes (Tranny, Rear, Brakes, PS ) every 30,000

Spark plugs have not been changed as of yet. No noticeable need.

We love this car and she is driving as good as ever.

My '99 Rx rolled into 93,225 miles (150,000 km) today.

Trani overhaul, rear main seal replacement, left exhaust manifold crack replaced......

I dare anyone to say BMW is expensive to maintain.

My 1999 RX 300 AWD has 110,600 on it, and runs as if new. The original front brakes and pads are still good, though I just replaced the original rear pads. No problems other than rear main seal leak I described in another thread today. Have given thought to buying a new RX 350 or even going to the Acura MDX, but I originally planned to drive my car until 180k on it, and I may stick with that plan!

Just became a 100K miler last weekend. Woot!

My 2002 RX300 still runs like new. Quiet and vibration free. No oil burning nor leaking.

How do I do it? 5W30 dino every 5K miles, Toyota Type T-IV ATF, no synthetic, no snake oil, no oil or gas additive of any kind.

Looking forward to 200K.

But snake oil is good

Also very good leather lubricant and feels nice on the skin, so it must be good for the vehicle right?

Congratulations on 100,000.
