I have a 2000 RX300 that I just bought used and just driving along the Check Engine light came on followed by the VSC light. I've been driving for a few days like this and there is no noticable problem but the both consistantly stay on. Is this a common problem and what could it be? I have not had time to bring it to the shop yet due to a hectic schedule. Please help!

I had the exact same symptom last week. As it turned out, I did not put the air cleaner box back together completely when I changed out my air filter. Don't know why the VSC light was on, but re-seating the air filter and closing the box properly cleared both up.

Check your air filter box.
