I publically apologize if I have offended you in any way. You have an excellent brake setup ... for all to envy. I should have been more sensitive in stating it your money and ....
I am sure your set up is free from fading and you feel confidant that your RX will slow down when you apply the lightest foot pressure on the brake pedal. Whle I have to contend with pressure on and off to the annoyance of the occupants.

Salim, no problem at all.
Actually I replaced my brake rotors and pads because stock rotors were singing at low speed due to rust (I spent two winters in upstate NY). Lexus wants $1000 but I thought it is too much, instead I got these aftermarket parts and professionally installed for $500.
It has moderate amount of improvement since Brembo and Rotora rotor sizes do not increase. Just better steel and patented vent design (Brembo) and slotted to allow hot gas escape (Rotora) make heat transfer much better.

Hi doods...
i just got a used 2002 RX for the wife ... & of course i cant leave it alone....
i will be upgrading the wifes brakes as soon as the pads arrive...
I have drilled/slotted rotors from i-rotors & new pads, Goodridge stainless steel lines and i will do a complete brake system fluid flush with ATE super blue fluid. I also went to a 255/55/18 tire on 18x8.5 inch rims. I had to run a 10mm H&R spacer & longer studs on the rear to get the tire to clear the flipping strut body
I think this car will be braking MUCH better soon...
The wheel tire setup now looks SOOO much better beefier & more solid than before.. very much like a Cayenne/ X5 or ML500 look than before.. the baby's got BIG *** feet now hahaha
these tires are about 3-4 inches wider than the rtock 225/70/16's they TOTALLY fill up the wheel wells perfectly & the car grips much better & feels better around corners already & i have not touched the springs/shox yet................etc
I was getting pulsing in the front rotors at 46k miles now & he pads are kinda thin, so I figured i'd upgrade everything new & start fresh rather than just turn them down flat again & slapping new pads in there...
I will also paint the calipers etc, i already painted the rotor hubs etc etc.. Probably MSM not sure tho... we have the DWP over SIlver color scheme, one of a zllion i think as i see the same car about 100 times a day & think there are 4 of them in my corp parkling lot alone... i will be repainting the lower claddign DWP to really clean up the cars look & get away from that damn cookie cutter white over silver look that is literally EVERYWHERE i turn...
I hope to post it all with pics when i am done.

Great, I am glad someone likes ATE Super Blue. Brake fluid is one of the most ignored but important component. I think bleeding brake lines is cheapest and most effective improvement of braking performance. Here is a white paper on brake fluid
Brake Fluid 101
Pads are also very important. Today's technology is definitely better than when I bought my RX
Ceramic Pad Technology OEM Quality
Tire Rack on Ceramic Pads

thanks for that info... great resources..
what pads are you using on your car now.. .Same front & rear...? or mainly aftermarket for the fronts. only.....?
yes, I have a Motive Products Power bleeder.. the ATE blue came from them as wel lwhen i bought the bleeder... great prices..... & power bleedign is the only way any more for me... SOOO much easier & faster....!!! you can do it more than 2 x a year & still not spend much more time on it tha nuif you only did it One time manually.... Plus it is a One man operation...Vs two... great unit..

I have Motive Power Bleeder as well, save a lot of time when I flushed my brake fluid out.
I have Akebono ProAct Ceramic for both front and rear. Akebono is the OEM pads for many cars.
But you can go to any ceramic pads for daily usage. TireRack has user rating so you can pick and choose which one you like.

Hey everyone, so I'm in the market for some new rotors/pads for the front. I ran into some EBC Slotted/Drilled rotors that were going for $173USD...not sure if this is a good deal, but anyways it said the diameter of the rotor was 11.7 inches. Can anyone confirm if this is the diameter that can/will fit?

I have ATE slotted rotors all 4 corners and ATE ceramic pads. Very good so far with no noise or brake dust. I'm hoping the rotor won't warp so much like the OEM did.
