Default RX300 console wood trim removal

Picked up a metal Pro Fit adapter plate for XM Roady. And it calls for the word trim around the center console to be removed. So you can attach the plate to the console. I tried with a couple of scribes to remove the trim piece. But couldnt get more than a 1/2 inch or so movement. And didnt see any clips to release the piece. Any tips on removing the trim piece?

Default Center console trim removal

Had a few minutes to play with center console tonight. And found you just have to pull very hard on the trim piece to remove it. The best way is to use a couple of hook shaped scribe tools. Start on the upper right. get behind the trim piece with the tools. And pull the piece out about 1/2 inch. Then apply pressure with your finger tips. And slowly pull the piece out. Once you get the first clip to release. The others are alot easier. Dont worry about the passenger seat belt and flasher light assemblies. They stay attached to the console. The TRAC on and off switch. And the cigarette lighter have a quick disconnect connector.
