I'm a newb when it comes to car mods, so what's the typical price for an install?

I just got a quote for $139/hr for 5 hrs of work + alignment fees. So basically they wanted $800. If the going rate is that high I might just put these in the garage for a bit until I get rims and do everything at once.

Thanks dudes.

Install should be no more then $200
Alignment should be no more then $100

Way too much. It should not take 5 hours for a simple spring install.

Haha actually Stillen told me they charge roughly $300 for the install. I've done numerous coilover installs so I'm just going to tackle it myself.

I don't think they are shady. I think we might be talking about two different things here. Is it $800 total as in for the purchase of springs, install and alignment? If so, that price is realistic.

Just the install. They know I already got the springs. So install and alignment.

168 Motoring gave a great price and are highly recommended here, I'll be going with them.

Post pics when you finish your install tho!

I have a strong feeling that they presumed I was a typical Orange County rich sucker. Money isnt an object sort of a thing. How else could they justify 5 hours of work? 168 Motoring told me 2 hrs tops.
