Has anyone had experience with using the carista app and the elm 327? Is it worth it? I have the app and thinking of getting the hardware. Thanks

Yes I do. Works. Can do basic stuff. Turn off things or switch user settings. Only thing I changed was how loud my turn signal clicks inside and when I drive without a seatbelt to get the mail or whatever it doesn't make noise.

Hi guys, we're here on clublexus and yes, Carista works great on the RC

You need a separate OBD adapter in order to use the app, but those are cheap. For iOS, you need a WiFi ELM327 device, and for Android, you need a Bluetooth one. For more info and links to Amazon, see: http://www.caristaapp.com/hardware/

I not only bought the better version of Carista, but also the WIFI adapter. As I mentioned in another post you can change anything that the dealer can do, and as many times as you want.
