Default MPG Display

Weird issue -

I set the MPG display on the dashboard to "upon refill". I assume that means every time I clear the odo trip a or b it starts again (or magically it knows that I've refilled my car). That seems to work fine, but on the Nav screen, it always shows Average MPG and it never resets upon refill. Does that only show average mpg lifetime? That would be odd. I even reset that manually and again, the mpg's never change.

I have the MPG setup on mine to show Average Fuel economy, and range. It's one of the screens I have for the Home button, as you can pick up to 3 different screens to display information. THE MPG, the way I have it setup, only resets after I go into that screen from Home and select Update. It takes a few seconds but will display in real time what the average MPG is once I go back to the Home Screen selection.

According to the manual on page 106 it should display the average MPG after refuel. How it does it is not very clear.

Did that help any?
