Also, maybe not specific to the VIN issue, but definitely related to the setup of the Enform Remote: others have reported (including myself) that the dash in the vehicle name (RC-F) causes a problem. Rename without the dash and you might have better results.

Oh, and I'm looking forward to trying to remote start my F with the key FOB. Great info!

Press the Lock button 3 times, and on the third time hold until the parking lights begin to flash, release the lock button.

The vehicle will start within a few seconds.

Pressing the Unlock button or opening the door will shut off the car.

Try it and see how far away you can be to remote start the car with the key Fob and report back.

Enjoy,

Peter
It works but to what end? Turns off when you open car so why bother?

To preheat or pre-cool the car down before getting into it. Sometimes it's just easier to start the car with the key fob than fumble around with the app on the phone.

Being in AZ it is nice to get into a car that has had the AC running for 5-10 minutes before getting into a car that can reach over 120 degrees inside in the summer. I don't car if it shuts off when I open the door as it is already cooled down, and it takes less than 30 seconds to start it back up.

It's just another feature that is available to us to use or don't use.

Definitely looking forward to this feature. I can look out my office window, start the car, let it start cooling down (also in Arizona) and make my way out of the building.

Yep, you know what I mean. What part of AZ are you in? It's also fun to remote start the car and scare the heck out of everyone when they see no one behind the wheel.

Tucson. The Arizona summers are brutal, yet I'm out on the golf courses in that heat, lol.

it is FREE for the first year of ownership.

Then its $80 per year + Safety Connect subscription $139.95 = $219.95 / YEAR

Yea I know. It is still cheaper than OnStar, and works all the time.

I just activated on mine. Does anyone know how long the wait is? Looking at the app it says pending.

This is news to me! I'm going to have to try it out. I tested the app remote start already and it worked great.

If the App still indicates Pending you have to press the SOS button and get them to fix it. Mine did the same thing and it took a couple of days to get it working correctly.
