^ Good find. Better priced than I thought. An RC 350 with Nav and the 19" wheels will come in at about $50K. Sounds good to me.

willingness to pay more is always higher for a coupe. This has always been the case. Look at the 3 and 4 series. 4 series is the same length as the 3 but 4 costs a few grand more. That is how coupes are.

I think its nothing more than just good business. Sales volume on coupes is very low so manufacturers are marketing them as being a more exclusive market segment notwithstanding the fact that mechanically they're similar to their sedan counterparts. This makes the end buyer believe they're stepping up when buying a coupe which justifies the price premium.

The RC does have higher quality materials and design element than the IS. The lighting of the interior on the door panels and leather/ nuluxe pads are all the way wrap on the sides of center console whereas the IS only have it padded partially even on the 2015 model.
