Default Lexus RC 350 F SPORT heading to Geneva Motor Show

To be unveiled on March 4 at Geneva

Lexus has announced an F SPORT variant of the RC 350 will be unveiled early next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

The all-new RC was unveiled back in November at the Tokyo Motor Show in RC 350 and RC 300h Hybrid versions which were followed this past January at NAIAS by the hotter RC F. Now, Lexus is getting ready to expand the lineup with the addition of the RC 350 F SPORT which will be showcased in early March at Geneva.

The vehicle will be distinguished from the regular RC 350 model by a more aggressive exterior body kit along with a few interior cabin enhancements to emphasize the sporty look of the coupe. Under the hood it will have the same 3.5-liter V6 delivering 318 bhp (237 kW) through an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift paddle shift transmission.

Lexus will unveil the RC 350 F SPORT on March 4 at the 84th Geneva Motor Show.

Default Lexus RC F SPORT Prototype Spotted?

A blue Lexus RC 350 has been spotted in California sporting a covered up fender badge — here a couple more photos:

The coupe is near identical to the standard RC, but look closely at the fender and there’s a piece of blue tape covering up what I would assume is an F SPORT badge:

If this is meant to be a secret F SPORT prototype, why the badge, the different wheels, the Ultrasonic Blue? This barely concealed mystery suggests one thing to me — it shouldn’t be long before we see the actual RC F SPORT.

Default World Debuts of the Lexus RC F Sport and RC GT3 Concept at the Geneva Motor Show

Alongside the Lexus RC F Coupe and RC Coupe, which will have their European debuts at the Geneva Motor Show, the Japanese luxury automaker’s booth will also host the world premiere of the RC F GT3 Concept and of the RC Coupe F Sport.

The RC F GT3 signals Lexus’ intention to enter GT3 sports car racing, previewing a racer that will compete in GT3 series. Lexus didn’t disclose any details about the car, but it will probably feature a race-tuned version of the production RC F’s V8 engine. As for styling, it should feature an even wilder package than the street version.

Another Lexus world premiere in Geneva will be the F Sport package for the new RC Coupe, which brings “exclusive, even more sporting and aggressive exterior and interior design features, and enhanced driving dynamics.”

Lexus doesn’t say it, but the F Sport package will probably draw inspiration from the "F" model. The RC F Sport trims will also feature the latest Lexus advanced technology developments, including a new, touch-operated Remote Touch Interface (RTI).

The first photos of the RC F Sport and the RC F GT3 Concept will be released on February 28.

Finally, the RC F will have its European premiere in Geneva. Set to go on sale in Europe this autumn, the RC F pairs a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing “well in excess of 450 hp” and more than 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque with an 8-speed transmission. The RC F also features the world’s first installation of a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) in a front-engined rear-drive sports coupe for enhanced traction and control.

If the F-Sport has a smaller gaping maw over the regular 350, then I may consider trading in my IS.

Grill looks so much better with the mesh than the non F-Sport.

Having the adaptive variable suspension and also the Lexus Dynamic Handling package makes me question why anyone would opt for the the non F-Sport over the F-Sport.

I wonder if dynamic rear steering will be available for the RC F as well as I've not seen it mentioned anywhere.

The wheels are great. Love the car in white as well. Almost as good looking as the RC F.

This is not right front grill is nice but the lower hole corner where outside the fog lights are too small.. They probably save it for the update to make it look like RCF .. From looking far away they didnt match the whole grill.. Too small .. Engine is 306hp still .. Look like there is no more powerful V6 .. Im tired of waiting :-(

Love it. They gave it the items I hoped for;
- RCF style mesh grill
- 19's
- fogs
- LFA instruments
- performance handling/suspension

a) I'm fine with the engine.
b) did I miss it? 8 speed tranny right?
c) ext/int color options will be critical for me.
d) any noticeable interior differences with IS FSport?
e) expect same 800w ML audio system?

Why would anyone want to get the pedestrian looking 4 series over this automotive work of art is beyond me. This car is drool inducing. It looks so special and jewel-like, hard to believe it is Lexus' entry level coupe!
