Love the look of the RC-F. Can't wait to start seeing these on the road.

Be happy a Lexus coupe is here shessh
head engineer said that RC will be heavier than IS because it is also built for CC from start... of course it is also wider and has a lot more equipment and V8, compared to RC.

But i love the specs... home run.

And yes, finally the seats are important at Lexus... they look awesome.

I wasn't sold on this initially but I'm coming around. It will be a great contender for the M4. I love the seats and the rear fenders. Looks like a lot of R&D was put into the power train tech, motor, diff. I will test this out once it hits the lots and consider it when the time comes for a ride swap.

Its a sports car, and you said no sports car can be 4,000 lbs.

the M4, C AMG, and ATS-V will all likely be lighter. just because the RS5 is slightly heavier, we shouldnt care that everyone else is lighter by hundreds of pounds?
Not if the car drives and handles great, no. Seeing that nobody has driven it we don't know yet.

Its like seeing a woman's weight and calling her "fat" without ever having seen her.

great looking car. but what's with the big holes on the lower left/right of the spindle? assume for airflow, but looks unusual

I'm not sure people are aware that weight of the car actually fluctuates with the options and equipment chosen. It can be a spread of 200lbs easily between base trim and all optioned out.

no, i said 4000 lbs isnt good for any sports car. not that there are no sports cars over 4000 lbs...

agreed, however 4000 lbs is still 4000 lbs. realistically how well can they hide that weight? the GTR uses an advanced AWD system to hide its weight but even then it will never feel as good as a lightweight car.

no, its like seeing a bunch of women who all look alike and then finding out one weighs much more than her friends...

If you know her height and weight, you don't have to see her to see how fat she is

So you can say without a doubt these Ferraris aren't good sports cars? How many Ferraris have you driven?

no, its like seeing a bunch of women who all look alike and then finding out one weighs much more than her friends...
While still looking just like her friends which makes my point...the weight is not as important as you would think.

maybe you're referring to same, but i'm talking about these holes not the large grill vents on the far left/right.

again, never said that. i said the weight isnt good not that the car isnt good. do you honestly think any engineer wouldnt want less weight? weight is the enemy of performance, this is almost universally accepted. im bewildered you would disagree. colin chapman is turning in his grave right now....

so which woman would you choose to carry up the stairs? fastest person wins a million bucks. you going with the heavy one? yeah thought so....

anyways i've gotten over the weight "issue" in that i've accepted that this car is not a M4 competitor. i never expected the lexus to be faster, but i thought it would be close. if the car does in fact turns out to be close to 4000 lbs, then its clear lexus never intended the car to be a M4 competitor. instead they probably went with something in between a M4 and M6. lets just hope the engine makes closer to the 480 hp estimate to offset the weight...
