In the USA, AFAIK the RC350 did not get the ASC system...

To be honest, after you have installed a properly tuned aftermarket exhaust system...

... The ASC sound pretty much gets washed out in the interior, as well as the Secondary intake flap opening at 3,600 RPM

The new exhaust sounds take over in that department

Now REMEMBER the ASC speaker system only activates when Sport S+ in engaged...

I don't get it.

The ASC on sport + is a joke, it's not even loud...

even the exhaust on the RCF it doesn't even sound like a v8...

I don't see what the fuss is all about.

That's why the first priority was to get a well built exhaust for my RCF and let the V8 scream!

Maybe i'm used to my fabspeed race exhaust on my porsche, that's why everything else is not loud.

The ASC blends NATURAL intake and exhaust sounds to a 50:50 percent ratio.

If you want to experience fake, you'll need to hear the M4's ASC equivalent.

If you compare the street performance sport setting sound to the sport + sound at revs above 4,000 rpm, it is quite comparable. You will notice it the most at lower revs--under 4,000. At high speed, I am hard pressed at times to notice it.

I tend to drive higher in the rev range.

Did the new F need this option: no. You can read about it hear. http://pressroom.lexus.com/releases/...oduct+news.htm

They should have a rocker switch to disable it. Makes no sense.

I have actually come to like it...go figure.

Either way, it had zero impact on my decision to buy the car. My decision was heavily based on the new high revving V8--it all happens up stream in this F.

^^^^ Yeah now that I've been driving the car for almost a couple weeks and I have it through the break-in period and can really get my foot into it some, I'd say my opinion has changed. The only question is - does it sound as good outside as inside?? All that badness that I'm hearing inside is not just the ASC, at least I don't think so. Still, I'm sure to go aftermarket on the exhaust.

Heck yes...Roll your window down and crank it through a tunnel or along the concrete divider on a highway. Remember: a lot of what you are hearing is being cranked in using the intake, exhaust, and engine's mechanical sounds.
