Default Modified MK7 GTI vs stock Lexus RCF

Despite the modding potential of the turbo GTI, much rather have the Lexus RCF. The RCF held up well considering the mods on GTI.

Is that really a GTI or a Golf R? I don't see how a Stage 1 or 2 GTI can beat a stock RC-F

He is spraying as well.

I just did a quick search. Eurotune Stage 2 GTI make around 300 whp on vwvortex. Plus, he claims he has some bolt ons so maybe another 20 - 25 wheel HP. My guess is, he is making around 325 - 330 whp. Plus, he is spraying on top of that. Dunno, that is one plausible theory.

I think the RCF held up well.

+ Remember, he is spraying as well. So maybe, another 50 - 75 whp depending on the shot.

Spraying nitrous or are you talking about the meth?

This, I don't see anywhere in the description of the video where it says he's spraying.

Methanol allows higher boost levels, increasing power... functions a little differently but the end result is the same. Impressive VW!

Lol but not 50-75whp with that tiny stock turbo on top of the bolt ons.

the gti is stage 2 just intake down pipe and tune and weighs 2900, he is running meth but there is no tune currently for the mk7 from euro dyne for meth. so its ment to keep temps down so he can do multiple runs. he gains no horsepower from it.
they run 12's and trap 111-112
heres even aprs chart for low and high output tunes and crank and whp numbers for the mk7
stage 2 93oct is 309whp and 391wtq
the weight kills the rcf

To "me" it looks like they aren't really racing. Looks like the Lexus driver slows way down for an intersection. Just how it looks to me.

There's a 1,000lb weight difference between the two.

It doesn't matter. The Lexus beats the GTI sitting perfectly still; no need to waste gas on a race.
