Default Lexus Wheel Warranty and Repair

Hello CL Drivers

I just picked up my RC F on 5/6/15 and choose to get the wheel warranty. They will repair wheels, replace tires and fix door dings. Seemed reasonable at $900 for 5 years. I have 30 days to rethink my choice.

Does anyone have any good or bad thoughts on this? Thanks...

BTW, came back to Lexus from a '13 535ix

For $900 it's a good deal...

If ONE of the wheels ever gets damaged, and needs replacing, it will cost you more than that..

Congrats on the new ride..!!!

Joe Z is right. Replacing OEM wheels is crazy expensive. Personally, I skipped on that option. I figure if a wheel screws up its a good excuse to go out and buy some after market rims and have something different from the "normal" wheel

It's a no-brainier. I picked up a nail in the right rear 275 within 2 weeks of delivery. They replaced the tire in a heartbeat.

Keep it!

Just used mine yesterday to repair a curb rash , was a painless process and can't tell it was ever nicked. Well worth it but cost just went up on it as of this week. Retail price doubled.

What JoeZ, ISF & Steve said! Definitely a Great Deal UNLESS you're wanting to spend another $4-5K on another set of wheels just for the Hell of it (which i've never understood WHY when these OEM wheels look Really NICE) jmo! Everybody has their OWN Opinion! Lol! Either Way, CONGRATS on switchin' over & it feels Really Great doesn't it!

I purchased the warranty too. I failed to look, but does it cover tire damage as well?

The wheel warranty will even cover your aftermarket wheels and tires...I have the Vossen CVT with Pilot Super Sports and they recently fixed a nail in my right rear tire free of charge...I remember when I had this warranty on my ISF and went to Vossen CV3 wheels...Lexus told me I was covered...keep it!

Yes, it does. It will even cover new tires that you purchase after the oems are off. I just got a sidewall leak in one of my oems after a couple of thousand miles. There was a little drama with the service dept getting it replaced, but they finally came around.

Thanks Johnnyreb. it's does feel good to switch back to Lexus. The BMW was nice but the Lexus just offers more overall and this F line is badass!
