GS-F no doubt.
I feel the chassis married to that engine will just be phenomenal. Lightweight and stable.
Two things you don't really hear in reviews about the RC F

both cars are the same weight, RC chassis is 50% stiffer than the GS chassis, shorter wheelbase, and lower height. GS wont be as fast because of this, but you have the 4 doors and space. GSF will sell more because its a 4 door.

GS-F because 4 doors are better than two IMO...

A stiffer chassis doesn't necessarily make a car faster. Nor does wheelbase or height. It's what the engineers DO to the chassis that determines the car's dynamics.

The GSF will be measured against the M3 if the scribes are looking for comparable cars. Otherwise...it will be up against the 550i M Sport and it's ilk. I think the pricing will bare that out. And that's fine...

It's just a shame that lexus didn't do what's necessary to make THEIR sport version competitive with everyone else's sport version.

Yeah, I don't think stiffer chassis necessarily means either.
I'm just saying looking at 4GS reviews, the car has an incredible amount of praise, superb chassis begging for more power, and won won quite a few comparos. Add the V8 and I assume the car can only get better.

GS-F, at least it makes sense that it's 4000 lbs because it's a 4 door.

Have they announced a weight for the GS-F yet? I'm thinking it could very well come in under the RC-F, potentially making it the faster car.

EDIT - The listed curb weight of the RC 350 F Sport RWD is 3,748lbs. The RC-F is listed at exactly 210lbs heavier at 3,958. The GS 350 F Sport RWD is the lightest at a listed weight of 3,726lbs.

they provided an weight estimate already and its a tad over 4000# like what an RCF is. GSF has TVD standard also

here it says 4034#

Ah, thanks, I hadn't seen that. Heavier than I was hoping for. I wish they'd put this engine in the 3IS.

^^^ Agreed, I think they'd move quite a bit more units with an IS-F replacement as opposed to the GS-F as well.

Unless you *have* to have a GSF or a *new* vehicle, I see no reason to buy 1. Might as well look for a 2013 or 2014 used ISF. Much lighter than the GSF, so with all that extra HP, it wont be any faster. They are rated for almost the same 1/4 mile time. Save your money and buy some mods for the ISF then it will be much faster....

Coming from a previous 4GS owner and no family, I actually would choose the RCF. From the nice clean lines, its menacing stance and throaty engine, I'd go for the coupe.

But those buying the GS-F are probably also looking at the much increased interior space and luxury of the GS-F.

Basically they want a family super sedan. The IS-F and RC-F won't cut it in terms of utility.
