I searched for the article with no luck.

I will say the photograph is interesting with the two white cars--RS5 and RC-F--in the foreground with the black M4 in the background.

If anyone finds the article, please post a scan of it.

I would say that the RS5 is the true winner here, not because of the track time ( AWD will always win on wet surfaces ) , rather beacuse the A5 series was introduced in late 2006 and the RS in 2009.

I actually found it hard to determine a lot from the "benchmark." Rather, I see three quite different cars for three quite different buyers.

My question about this comparison is what options were on each car--in particular the brakes, differentials, and numerous other performance options? Some of this is apparent in the story, but much is missing.

As a "benchmark" this information should have been included.

But, I do love the photo of the flying F.

The RS5 is a bit of a different beast. 450 hp, but only 313 ft lbs of torque. On a track it needs to keep north of 5K rpm and you have to have the cojones to get on the throttle at or even pre-apex. After owning one for 2 years, I found myself missing the IS-F.

I think the options are on the first page. I couldn't see them on my phone (too small).

Great read! This is going to get even more fierce when these three are pitted against the ATS-V and C63 AMG Coupes. Cannot wait for that five car shootout

.
They are right there at the bottom of the article with (option) beside them. For example the RCF has the TVD option and the M4 has ceramic brake option among others.

Yes, I had seen this list and correlated the configurations with references in the article.

What threw me off is that there was no direct reference to torque vectoring in the article itself, although there was a reference to oversteer. Upon enlarging the image of the cockpit, I did just see the control dial for the torque in the F.

Thanks
