Please show me in writing where Lexus (a manufacturer) states that they frown upon any pricing practice. I'm betting the document does not exist ... Federal law and all.

I agree with Joe. If they mark up the car over MSRP, bolt.

I also suggest that the conversation move to more for your trade in if they will not discount. Most will not discount the RC F, especially if you are ordering a custom/special build.

Call 1-800-25-Lexus and ask them yourself...

I do not have to call, because I know the answer. Nobody from Lexus would ever make any statement regarding maximum price charged for a vehicle.

I will stand by statment that Lexus gives an MSRP... They expect dealers to sell at MSRP...

Show me a brand new Lexus with a tacked on "Market Adjustment" fee.. (just because)

They didn't even do it on the LFA's

I did see ONE dealer here in So Cal try it on a 2008 IS F at the launch back in 2008.. (that didn't work out to well for them)

FWIW - Last Lexus I bought at MSRP was in 2000 and it was an IS300

Just out of curiosity, what was the penalty to the dealership?

I've been buying Lexus cars for 16 years, I have never known a Lexus dealer to charge more than MSRP for a model, even really high demand cars like the SC430 when it first came out, RC-F. It has always been my understanding that Lexus' policy was that dealers should not charge market premiums over MSRP for their cars. That has come from multiple sources, dealerships, salespeople, forums such as this.

Def seems to be rare car. 3 total for sale at the 2 dealers in my area. 133 for sale nationwide compared to 786 M4 for sale. I'm guessing a lot more M4 being made than RC-F. Hope my dealer still has an RC-F on Monday, looking forward to seeing it in person and see if it makes me itch to trade in my IS-F. I'm betting it prob won't but who knows.

It is a rare car but ask anyone if they know what a RCF is and then ask them if they know what a M3 is...

Also people go off 0-60 and track times and like the ISF the Lexus is not at the top so that lowers the demand. This is not going to be a hot selling car, just like the best car I ever owned the Acura NSX but that car was great so who cares lol

But right now, the car is brand new and hot. Pricing and supply and demand deal with the right now.

As Joe said. I paid sticker but got a real good price on my trade (14 Range Rover).
Saved on taxes, etc.

Whatever most are paying, it is most likely under what our members in Australia will pay for the new ride. The carbon TVD is nearly $150,000. I presume $10,000 is for the carbon bonnet.
