Default Carbon postponed

My dealer just called and said Lexus is delaying the carbon package until March. They aren't satisfied with the quality.
Anyone else hear the same?

I was told that the standard RCFs are being built first and that the carbon would follow with a February/March delivery.

I will try to reconfirm this.

Addition...my sales manager said nothing has changed.

And I say my sources are accurate to date... I learned 2 weeks ago from reliable sources that the carbon would be manufacturered subsequent to the standard RCF and delivered in the February timeframe--no later than March.

If execs at corp do not know, we should all throw in the towels...really.

So true. It won't much asphalt in January and February in PA.

Are you making any aftermarket exhausts for the new beast?

My local dealer also confirmed that delivery for Carbon model is delay until February (January Production). What is strange is of the two RC-F schedule to arrive on Guam on Oct. 29th White is on its way but the Black is delayed. Both suppose to be carbon models. Maybe the white was already been built. Will see what is received on Oct. 29th.

Are you certain these cars are not prototypes for display only?

Not prototypes. Guam is a small island and it doesn't make sense to bring display only model. We usually get new models 2 weeks before US mainland does. Dealer have no details either of what they are receiving. Paperwork show white RC-F should be carbon. No details on why the delay.

I may have to swap out to non-carbon if that's the case. I am ready for something by end of this year.
