Default What options are you getting with your RCF?

I ran through the system with the sales manager and selected the following:

1. Carbon package with TVD
2. Premium LED lights
3. 20-spoke wheels
4. Keyed lugs
5. Cargo net
6. Rear bumper appliqué With logo
7. Navigation system
8. Mark Levinson 800+ watt sound system
9. Lexus lit logos in the doorsills
10. Precollision system with dynamic radar (more to avoid hitting deer in the back roads)
11. Winter package

I believe this is the list of options for the order.

Since I don't think I will ever take the car on to a race track. I am going to let go the carbon package which also helps matching the color better. Here is my order list.

1. Premium package
2. Winter package
3. Premium LED lights
4. 20-spoke wheels
5. Keyed lugs
6. Cargo net
7. Rear bumper appliqué With logo
8. Navigation system + Mark Levinson
9. Lexus lit logos in the doorsills
10. Precollision system with dynamic radar cruise control

Not decide item
1. Moonroof
2. Leather

PS: I really wish that Lexus also offers the HUD option, that will be nice addition to have.

I would like to get a stripped down version with just nav. And nothing else. All I want is that engine. Is that possible?

I think you can, just give your local dealer a call and find out.

Technically, you can order the base model less all of the options or with just the navigation.

However, the "base model" still comes with quite a lot of gear. Stop by your dealer and ask them to bring up the order entry system for you to review.

That's what I like about it. What a screaming deal if you can be sparing with the options! Mid to high $60's for all that tech and performance?!?!?!

I called my Lexus contact today for you. He said you can definitely order the base model and then add the nav...no problem!

Most of these cars are going to be special orders. You should be able to get the non-carbon, non-TVD in December.

I would never order a sport coupe without any limited slip diff.

Thanks for doing that!! I'm getting close to a decision and it helps to know that I can actually get a "base" model. It's not a unicorn!

All RC F come with LSD, the only question here is if it's worth paying extra for the torque vectoring. The reviewers (so far, in pre-production prototypes) seem evenly divided on the subject. I suspect it's because people are used to the mechanical linkage and the TVD is so effective, that it feels unusual.

Sewell Dallas told me they are not taking custom orders. It's better to check with dealers near you to see what they can do if you plan on getting one near you.

A friend test drove the RCF with TVD on a track 2 weeks ago. The car performs remarkably through the corners, and he said it was noticeable with regard to how the car felt when entering and exiting the curve. He said the car powers beautifully when exiting as well.

I was invited and unfortunately could not attend. (;-(

I decided last week to change my order for the 3rd time. Since this will be a daily, I will mostly be attacking the freeways and rush hour traffic. So I will save a little $ and weight but lose out on the carbon and tvd. Perhaps that higher end special track version rc f will come out later which will make a much bigger difference.

It's a daily driver for me as well, which is unlikely to make it to the track. I just want to experience the TVD on those rare occasions when the road is calling to me.
